Your tutorial was wonderful! I love the way you made the fabric and then cut the patchwork wedges - not what I was expecting at all! Can't wait to explore the rest of your blog!
I just wanted to stop over and tell you how awesome this tutorial is. Thank you so much. I keep hoping I'll be able to spend the money to get one of these rulers soon. This would make a great gift to a couple with a new baby for your suggestion of the playmat if a circle of batting was added to the back and then a backing fabric too. That would be super cute. Plus my first thought since I have baby stuff on my mind right now (we have a grandchild arriving in the next few weeks) was this would be a cute little splat mat to put underneath a high chair too so you can just pick it up and toss it into the wash after the baby makes his/her mess.
Mary, I have been sewing my scraps together willy nilly knowing that soon I would be inspired to make something. Thank you for this great tutorial. Now I am not the brightest bulb in the lamp and quilt math is just not my thing, therefore I have a question. My table is 80" round and i would want a nice drape like yours. Would I just keep making strips or would it begin to get all wonky after the amount you put in? Thanks
