New Wave Wheels!

We're going to be grandparents again (hubby's daughter) in about two weeks, so I've been working like crazy to get a baby quilt made for the new little boy before he's born!

 

I set a goal a on Amy's Creative Side One Thing, One Week challenge to get the quilt top together by today using Wheels by Riley Blake fabric and New Wave Quilt by Elizabeth Hartman / www.ohfransson.com pattern:

It's all finished including binding, matching flannel backing, washed and dried to crinkly goodness!  

Now baby can come!

I decided on an aqua piping and then one of the small prints for the border and binding.  (P.S. My sheets are drying on this clothes line right now!)

I was worried that using navy for meandering in the block would be too dark, but I think it's okay.

It's getting cold already in Minnesota and when I spent Thursday with Audrey, I decided she needed some new shoes!

A funky print, lined with polka dots and a soft fleece insole.  I can't wait to try them on Audrey.

And then I've been holding off until after last night on this last project since it was a surprise! 

 Our family got together for a farewell potluck for my Texan sister and her husband before they migrate South for the winter.

I have five sisters and decided to use the Attitude Girls panel by Mary Engelbreit to make aprons:

Well, one sister didn't make it to the get together, so Mom got to be an Attitude Girl!
