Good Neighbors Pincushion Party

First I was thrilled when I found out my friend Amanda Jean (Crazy Mom Quilts) was going to have her very own fabric line with Connecting Threads ........and then she invited me to join her Good Neighbors Pincushion Party! So excited.

I had purchased the papers a few years ago for a paper pieced pincushion and was waiting for just the right fabric. Well, Good Neighbors was IT!!

And I had the perfect antique button for the center and Connecting Threads was kind enough to provide a matching solid in addition to a charm pack.

You can check out the full Good Neighbors collection at Connecting Threads.

And be sure to check out the whole month of stops filled with super awesome pincushions!

Very cute Mary! I love making pin cushions too. Just this week I made the tops and quilted them for 4-5 holiday pincushions. Was fun using one of the mini charm packs, Kate Spain I think. Now if I can just finish them off I will have a supply ready to go for gifts!

It's adorable, Mary! I like that you used paper pieces that you've had on hand for years. ;) also love that antique button as a highlight. Thanks for being a party of the party! xo

Mary, I'm new to paper piecing...I have a kit from about 2 years ago waiting to be opened:) Your Good Neighbors Pin Cushion is so happy, and reminds me of a cool breezy day watching ripples on the ocean.
Thank you for sharing.

One can never have too many pin cushions, can one? Love the vintage button! I think I have a similar one in red!

Nicely done! I just finished reading Anne's post about blue, and this pincushion looks like it could be a part of her line-up of beautiful blue things. Love the antique button finish.
