Addendum to Binding - Is it by machine or is it by hand?



A few people had question on my previous post regarding how I finish the corners with this method of applying the binding completely by machine.

Here is what it looks like after you finish one edge:
 

 


Now fold the miter as you normally would AND fold the entire binding sandwich back toward the front of the quilt:


Place it under your presser foot as described in part one of this tutorial and start stitching right at the bottom of the miter you folded:


 Here is where both edges come together:


And finally, tie off and hide the thread ends and blind stitch the miter.


This is how it should look on the front:
