Bricks and Stones (and Blocks?)

Do you think I'm fickle or what?
Just a month ago or so I ranted about how much I loved my Authentic Merry-Go-Round quilt.

Is it okay to do that again so soon?

Well, I'm going to!!! I just love, love, love this quilt top:

The pattern is "Bricks and Stones" by Red Pepper Quilts but of course I didn't follow the pattern completely.  I made it symmetrical, unlike the pattern.  The fabric is all Hope Valley by Denyse Schmidt and Moda Basics White.
It's been raining and dreary here all day, so these are the best photos I can get for now.

When I worked on this at the retreat, everyone advised me to follow the pattern.  But I wanted a quilt, not a wall hanging; I had plenty of fabric; and this was the plan in my head from the beginning.

Now it needs backing and quilting.

++++++++++++

And if you made it this far, here is a more recent photo of Audrey:

 She's got cheeks!  I'll be seeing her Sunday!!

Mary! The Bricks and Stones Quilt is WONDERFUL! I actually love that you have followed your own wishes and have therefore made it your own. It is beautifully stitched. The Hope Valley fabrics looks so great in this design. LOVE it!

The quilt is really cute! The more quilts I see done in that fabric the more I want some for myself. The quilt is cute but not nearly as cute as Audrey!

I also purchased the Bricks and Stones quilt. Your version is lovely and may just convince me to make it symmetrical also. Little Audrey is just too sweet.

Oh...little Audrey is just so adorable! I love your quilt. It' really wonderful...all the right colors in all the right places and the white just sets it all off perfectly. It's a definite keeper! It will be fun to see it after it's been quilted. Do you have any ideas how you're going to guilt it?
