The Itty Bitty,,,,

Ever since I first saw the Itty Bitty Baby Dress pattern (FREE) from Made by Rae, I had it in the back of my mind that it would be my first granddaughter's first dress.  Thank you Rae!!! The pattern is awesome.  I used the "newborn" size which is for 7 to 8 pounds.  Audrey just went back over 6 pounds!

Well, time was "awastin' " - Audrey is almost six days old, so I finished it this morning:

I used "Bubblegum Basics" by Barbara Jones of QuiltSoup for Henry Glass that I had on hand for just such an occasion.

And an update on Audrey and family: they were released from the hospital yesterday afternoon and we brought dinner over last night (and got a few peeks of the little angel).

Sweetness and bliss! Just look at this sweet little girl, working so hard to grow into that cute little dress. I'm guessing that when she outgrows this one there will likely be more little dresses and things to grow into, right? Cute little hat she has on. Hope her mom is doing well, too. Really nice that you brought dinner over. Grandma time for Audry and meals would be so welcome. Do you do laundry, too? Lol, just think of all of those tiny little clothes that will fill the baskets now.

Congratulations Mary!
Such a cute dress! You may want to start on some bigger ones too. She's going to grow like a bean sprout.
