Steam Punk

I got bitten by the Steam Punk bug.  Steam Punk is a pattern by Jen Kingwell Designs and you have certainly seen it around blogdom, flickr and Instagram.

Here is my practice block:

 I'm pretty happy with it - maybe it will show up in my quilt.  These blocks are so much fun.  I dug into my stash until I came up with a combo I liked.

=====================================================
Hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July holiday if you celebrate.  We had a perfect day - swimming, pontooning and grilling with the kids.
Here is Grandpa helping Audrey blow bubbles:

Are you hand sewing the Steampunk? I have it on my to do list, but I can't decide how to put it together.

Sweet photo of Grandpa and Audrey. And what is this about the Steampunk block? How do I miss these things? This is a very different and interesting block, and I'm really taken with the colors you used. Going to have to check this one out some more...

Summer is definitely bubble blowing time. She's adorable. I've seen these Steam Punk blocks all over. Love them but will admire from afar. I love curves in quilting. Your block is gorgeous.

Great block! I absolutely love the fabric choice and would love to try a block someday! Yep, add it to a long list right? How difficult is this one?

Sounds like a perfect 4th! Love the block but I am holding firm...instead I found Jen's other pattern What Color is Your Elephant? Think it's the one for new baby!

Love your Steam Punk! Did you get the acrylic pattern pieces or the paper pattern? I bought the acrylic pattern and can cut a bunch with the rotary cutter at one time but I've just made some practice blocks. They are so much fun! Thanks for sharing! You are so talented!
