I used a Japanese print linen blend for my bag with a few scraps from my stash. It was a little tricky matching the print but it worked out. I did straight line quilting all around the bag front feature and like the look. The interfacing is Soft and Stable and this is a great product for this (and many other) bag(s).
One of you can win a PDF of Caity Did by leaving a comment telling me your favorite flower to plant in the spring.
I will leave the giveaway open until the end of my day on Friday and notify the winner after that.
Thanks for stopping by and good luck in the drawing.

Adorable bag pattern! As for flowers, I have fallen in love with impatiens.
They grow wild here in Brazil where I'm currently living, and I know when I return to Texas later this year (finally moving home) I'll be planting them as a reminder of the temporary home I've come to love.
Very cute! I love the fabric and the quilting that you did on your bag is wonderful!
My favorite spring flower to plant? Daffodils, but my favorite spring flower is dandelions!
Very cute bag. As for flowers, the only thing I generally plant is geraniums. They tend to take the summer heat the best. I enjoy mostly bulbs in the spring, so I plant them in the fall.
Love your bag. My favorite flowers are coneflowers. You can't have to many..

I love this bag pattern and your fabric choices! It is polished - great job!
We have herds of deer that come through every day looking for what has been added to the salad bar, so I do not plant any flowers. If I did, I would probably choose daffodils - they seem to leave them alone.
You did a wonderful matching job! Thanks for the giveaway! I love the common yellow marigold in my garden.
Iris--any kind. any color.
I love your bag and the quilting you did on it! I need to make some bags, I always admire them! I love to plant giant sunflowers and morning glories around them so they can grow up and around the sunflowers, fun and pretty! Happy Stitching!
This year I talked DH into planting Double Knockout Rose bushes..oh they are so pretty here in TX. The can be cut back and they just rebloom year after year. AWESOME!
I absolutely love daisies. Right now all 6 of my Gerber Daisies have bright beautiful blooms on them!!
Thanks for the chance to win!!
Cute bag!
My fav flowering plant is the Crepe Myrtle, I think it is more of a summer flowering tree though!
Cute pattern. I love bags. My favorite spring flowers are daffodils. They are so bright and cheery after the cold dead winter. They just make me happy.
I always just love the fabrics you choose for your projects. I am deeply in love with my rose bush. It's the only one I've ever had and it blooms all at once and is amazing! It has tons of buds, ready to bloom but tomorrow we are supposed to have snow and get below freezing! That's more extreme weather for us! We are usually in the 90's at this time of year! If it blooms, I'll take photos...I think you will love it!
Cheery wave from
Bev
Cute bag. My favorite flower to plant is anything that the deer and squirrels won't eat.. Oh, yes...and the slugs! Thanks for the chance!

Ooooh, I like the fabric you used on your bag too! It's interesting how different all the samples look just by using different fabrics. Great pattern Stephanie came up with, as usual!
My favorite flower to plant in the spring is the beautiful pansy! Our spring is somewhat delayed this year because winter just doesn't want to leave, but we'll get there eventually. I just hope the pansies are still around by then!

You did a great job on the bag, Mary. I love the fabrics you chose.
Is there really a favorite flower?? I guess I would say I enjoy the lisianthus best.
I really love the vibrancy of daffodils in the Spring. They are flowering a month late here in UK this year, so they are still around in abundance.
What a great bag Mary - I love the fabrics you used!
My favourite flower to plant right now is the iris - but it needs lots of sunshine so fingers crossed!!
Daffodils for sure, with Iris a close second. Love the bag you made.
I like to plant Dahlias because they are hard to kill, even with my black thumb!
How cool that we asked the same question, Mary! I love your version of Caity Did!
Cheers!
Oh fun!! Great bag. A girl can never have too many bags to choose from. Favorite flower. Hmmm. I would have to say my hydrangeas. I love their big blooms but they don't first flower until mid-summer at my house.
Clever pocket! I want to know how to do that. I know all quilters are usually gardeners, too. But not me. I do like cycleman, they keep coming back.
Well thanks! I love Nasturiums
I kill everything I try to grow, so I have a bright yellow pinwheel planted in my "garden", but I love daisies.

Daffodils...I must have daffodils.
Tulips are my favorite -- but I plant marigolds around my garden every year to discourage pests. Your bag is lovely!
I love poppies. I planted them one year in a small patch and they grew like crazy! I didn't notice that they were not mini ones, so mine were about knee high.
I love the bag and the fabrics you used, as always :-) Favorite flower to plant in the spring......hmmmm........that would have to be sunflowers. Every year we plant sunflower seeds in the spring, so they are huge by the time summer is here. It's a tradition!
It's super cute, Mary! Well done! I like the soft and stable, too. It's easy to sew through, too, isn't it?
Fave flower: Hydrangea! :-)
I love pansies. So many pretty colors.
Your bag is very lovely and I would think all that straight line stitching adds a lot of strength to the bag. How generous of you to give the pdf. I love Violas and like to plant them as they just make me smile. Creative Hearts are Happy Hearts...
Cute patterns and love your fabric choice! I love flowers and planting them so plant just about any kind I can get my hands on but I guess bachelor buttons are one of my favorites. They remind me of the garden my babysitter had when I was a kid.
Love your bag. I plant Vinca in the spring. It's easy care, drought tolerant & blooms all summer. Thanks for the chance to win.
Love the bag......straight stitching on front is perfect! My favorite flower to plant in the spring is the purple coneflower - their shape is lovely.
Dang, girl, that is one swanky bag! Dial me in to win!!
I love crocus--they're the first ones to come up and I love that they feed the rabbits. I think of it as a piece of chocolate at the end of a long diet!!
I really like the bag and I just love the parallel quilting!
I start Lady in Red salvia from seed on my kitchen counter. It blooms from summer to hard frost and you can collect the seeds for next year. It attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.

Thanks for a chance mary
Coming over from Loftcreations! Love, love, love your version of the Caity Did bag!
So funny, Candace had the same question, so my answer is the same, I loooove tulips!
I love planting zinnias because I know I will have so many colorful flowers to bring into the house by July and August!
Wonderful bag!
Our garden is full of pretty perennials, but we've been adding zinnias for additional color in spring. I would like to find perennials to take their place as we plant 25-30 each spring.
I don't plant a lot of flowers in the spring, because I have mostly bulbs and perennials, but I do love to plant petunias. Very hardy and forgiving, and the scent is heavenly! Thanks for the opportunity to win this cool pattern!
I love them all! Though I do not know their names :(
Very cute pattern. My favorite flower to plant in the spring is the gerbera daisies! Thanks
Love your version of the bag. I plant geraniums in pots on my porch. I also love gerber daisies.
My favorite flower to plant in the spring is Pansies :).
Beautiful fabrics and what a neat bag! I actually love to plant marigolds....so easy yet pretty!
Favorite flower: petunias. Love the bag!
I love your take on the bag. I have never sewn a bag - haven't had the courage. But if a pattern and good instructions landed in my hands, I'll bet I'd make the jump.
My favourite flowers are sweetpeas but with our super extended winter here, I doubt I will get the chance this year to bury my head in a bouquet of them and inhale. *sigh*
Lovely bag, thanks for the giveaway. My favorite planting is marigolds of all shapes and sizes and they are going out in my garden in about 3 weeks!

Lillies, lillies and more lillies. I had to totally replenish mine when bunnies started coming around. Now I have them all fenced in.
