I cut out the whole background at one time, but I am only cutting the rest of each block one at a time. This pattern uses every 1/8" of one of the fat quarters in each block, so there is no room for error.

I love it! Just beautiful :-)
That is gorgeous!
This one looks good too!
Such a nice combination of fabrics!
This is stunning and subtle all at the same time. Looks very intricate. Blissful quilting...
Stunning block, Mary!! Gorgeous!
I love it, Mary! I especially love how you fussy cut the center. Just love it!
So pretty! Thanks for sharing your talents! I haven't gotten the "Swoon" bug yet - but I feel it coming..... it's calling my name, but it's still a whisper... I have to wait until it's a little louder..... ;)
I like this one lots! Seriously a lovely combo.
So beautiful Mary! I just love the fabrics you are using.
Hey, I just thought I'd tell you, I saw on the discussion threads someone suggested instead of 2 pieces for the centre flying geese blocks someone suggested cutting the piece at 6.5 inches instead of two separate pieces so the print is not broken up and then sewing on the two corners at the top of the sections, I just thought it was a good idea (anything to reduce cutting).
Very pretty - love the fussy cut center.
Very pretty...I have been wanting to try this block! love your colors.
Oh my goodness!! That is beautiful! I love your fabrics.
Beautiful block, Mary. Serious swooning going on here. :-)
pretty pretty!
Mary, your Swoon blocks are SO pretty! That quilt is still on my to-do list. I bought the pattern, but I have yet to cut any fabric for it. Thanks for the gorgeous inspiration!
Can't beat the classic combos of colour. Love the pink and chocolate. Happy Easter from Australia to the USA.
Very pretty Mary. Especially the pink!
Love the subtle blend of colors.
Great idea to cut all the backgrounds at once! Because you really really need to pay attention cutting those other fabrics, getting the background cutting out of the way takes away some of the stress. Your colors are beautiful, and I love how you fussy cut that center square.
Isn't it fun to be able to pick and choose just the right fabric combinations for each block? That is my favorite part of quilting!
Still loving in Swoon in Daisy Cottage (your progress might just make me decide I need to do another Swoon in DC!)
i think that is the prettiest swoon block i have seen in blog land. love it.
