My goal was to finish the flimsy for my king size Single Girl.  I sewed like crazy the entire three days, but failed.
I left with:
  •  558 circle pieces
  •  144 inner and outer arc pieces
  • a total of  702 pieces
 I came home with:
  • 18 circle pieces
  • 36 inner and outer arc pieces
  •  54 completed arcs
  • for a total of 108 pieces

And after more stitching since I returned home, I now have
72 completed arcs

plus the two previously completed circles!!  I think I can finish this!! Stay tuned!

If you read any or all of the other blogs, you will know we sewed, ate, talked and laughed the whole weekend (throw a LITTLE sleep in there)!
Plans were discussed for this talented group to gather again next year.

You didn't FAIL! That's a lot less pieces you came home with...

BTW, did you determine what Kona cotton that was you needed? I'm still curious...

This was the BEST weekend! And you are making great progress on Single Girl. I can't wait to see it completed. it's going to be amazing. (I only made lap size--I can't believe you are making one this large!--super impressed with that)

Mary, you did sew like crazy and accomplished quite a bit!!! Loved seeing your embroidery blocks with the Fandango and that Single Girl is absolutely fabulous!!!! You CAN do it and can't wait to see it completed! Great sewing with you again this year.

Looks like a lot of fun! The group had some amazing quilts. I can't even imagine how big the single girl in king size must be. I did a twin...and left off a row. Still I thought it was quite large enough for a twin. A king! Wow!

I am not sure I would consider all that you accomplished failing. If so, I would like to fail too. The pictures of the quilts are gorgeous. The flag one is stunning.

I had such a fun time sitting with you. Thanks for all the wonderful company! I am so loving your stitchery blocks. I have printed out all the patterns so far. I want to start it soon. And I had to get me some Fandango fabric to go with mine, too. Hope you don't mind a copy cat! Maybe you'd be willing to tell me what colors of floss you are using, so I can totally copy you!
