I've been sewing (and other things)!

I finished Neptune!

What do you think?
I decided on an aqua piping and then one of the small prints for the border and binding.  (P.S. My sheets are drying on this clothes line right now!)

I was worried that using navy for meandering in the block would be too dark, but I think it's okay.

+++++

I finished block four of the FQS BOM - a beauty designed by Heather Mulder Peterson!

Two quilting blogger friends sent gifts:

New York City fabric and New York chocolate from sweet summer retreat mate Andrea of The Little Connection.   I'm thinking that fabric will make a great city bag for a country girl!  And yummy chocolate - she must have got to know me well during a weekend!  Thank you Andrea.

And the blogger who sent this little fat quarter of loveliness shall remain nameless (lest she be bombarded with requests) but she knows who she is and how kind and generous.  Thank you friend!

+++++

And a winning from Erin of One Piece at a Time

Do you think she could actually see through my computer screen to my dry, cracked, red hands?  It's a two part hand treatment from Crabtree & Evelyn and it works and smells wonderful.  Thanks Erin.

It's getting cold already in Minnesota and when I spent Thursday with Audrey, I decided she needed some new shoes!

A funky print, lined with polka dots and a soft fleece insole.  I can't wait to try them on Audrey.
The excellent free pattern is by Joanna Armour and can be found here.

Your Neptune quilt is beautiful! I love how it really glows. Great idea to add that piping in between the borders, which adds nice dimension to this quilt. Wasn't that city fabric from Andrea the coolest? And the chocolate bar was fabulous.
