I have proof!

I used to know how to crochet!

I got out this baby blanket I made for my son 32 years ago, washed it and gave it to him and my DIL when they made a surprise visit for my birthday yesterday.  I actually made it before he was born (back when no one knew if they were having a boy or girl).
I think I would need to start with a class if I wanted to crochet again, but I did a lot of it back then.

How nice to be able to pass it back to your son now that he is grown! I just started crocheting again after a break of many years and like the other said...it all came right back as soon as I started!

What a piece to cherish. I'm curious, what did your son say? Did your DIL appreciate the sentiment more than your son?

How cool is that. I have all my kids first quilts that their great grandmother made and will give to them when they have kids too. Can't wait.

My mom surprised me with all of of the handmade blankets from her baby shower (that were for me) at my baby shower. I was very touched and didn't know that she had them. This is very special.

OMG! My mom made that same afghan for my brother when he was born. He's going to be 37 this year...small world.
