We're in sunny Florida for the next two months soaking up the warm sunshine.
Here is our view from the lanai. The pool is beyond the pond.
Morning stroll on Fort Myer's beach.
On the road trip down & since we've been here I've been hand quilting "Rummage".
You can call it big stitch quilting or organic quilting - it holds the flimsy, batting & backing together!
I'm also working on another t-shirt quilt.
Did you know my tutorial on Neon Nesting Cubes was #12 of the top 25 posts in 2014 on the @sewmamasew blog? Go check it out!
I expect to pick up my Florida sewing machine tomorrow - so check back to see what else I'm working on!

Do you rent a machine when you are there? My mom is in that area and I sometimes spend a month or so. I have wondered what I could do for a sewing machine when I am there.
Lucky you soaking up the Florida sunshine. Happy New Year to you.
That sunshine looks great! Enjoy!
Enjoy that beautiful sunshine and warm temps! Love that view from your lanai and your stroll.
Two months of Florida sunshine will do wonders for you! Enjoy! Your hand quilting looks amazing too!
It's a smart time to head to FL with the temps you are having at home. Enjoy yourselves.
This looks like the perfect way to spend a very cold Winter. And you get to stitch as well!
Awesome about your tutorial! I love the big stitch on any quilt but it's awesome on Rummage. If you have a change throw some sunshine our way. :o)
Ohhhh! The nesting cubes are great! Have a wonderful time soaking up the sun!
Not to much sunshine today, was 29 degrees this morning and suppose to be colder tomorrow!

Enjoy that lovely sunshine! The hand quilting is ideal for the fabrics that are in that quilt.
I was glad to hear you have a sewing machine to keep you company when you feel like stitching a bit. I do like your big stitch quilting--terrific! Have fun in the sun!

Loving seeing you stitching away and enjoying warm weather, it looks lovely
How nice to have a handquilting project to work on while away from home. Enjoy the nice warmer weather and please send some to Colorado. I'm tired of being cold.
Mary, Congrats on your tutorial! I check on your blog every once in a while to see what you are up to. I'm wondering what this "Rummage" quilt is. Is it an actual pattern to buy or did you make it up? Thanks!
