I finished the Home Town Pouch and sent it off to be used as a sample at Quilt Market in Houston next month.
Although time consuming, it was lots of fun to make. The front design is both pieced and appliquéd. The front, back and bottom are hand quilted.
The zipper is set in by hand. The finished size is 4 3/4" X 6 1/4". The pattern is by Yoko Saito and the fabric is her 25th line with Lecien.
I had to make a Frog Prince Bapron for Brandon - he is nearly seven months old and liking every new taste he tries.

I LOVE that pouch, Mary. It looks like a lot of work but so work it in the end.
The bapron is cute too and a great idea.
Love your pouch!! The zipper pull is so cute...where do you purchase yours? I would love for you to show me (as in teach me...haha) some hand quilting next summer.
That IS a lot of work Mary, right down to hand stitching the zipper! Brandon's bapron is too cute!
Beautiful pouch and bapron too. All so inspirational. Great job.

The pouch is wonderful...just enough applique to make it fun to make.
The fabric you used for the bapron is great...love the frog!
i love that pouch, I'm just too impatient to do the nice finish details like that!
Cute pouch! But where can I grind the pattern for the bapron?
Ugh. Find the pattern. Not grind! Stupid autocorrect.
Gorgeous pouch. Definitely worth the effort.
Great little bapron too.
So impressed...is it easier or harder to set in zipper by hand? I love the hand quilting, just the perfect touch.
what a lovely little pouch. You sewed the zip in by hand?? I can't imagine doing that... I'm pretty sure I'd have messed it up!
Sweet little bag but the bib is just way too cute with the frog on the front.
Love the bapron--both in idea and in the fabric you chose! But that little pouch just takes my breath away--that quilting is just perfectly wonderful. I hope you get your samples back after they are finished wowing the customers at market!
