A Summer Star Finish
16 1/4" by 16 1/2"
The stars didn't stand out enough so I added a little hand quilting after I stitched in the ditch around the blocks.
This was a fun summer project. Thanks to Temecula Quilt Co. for the the weekly block patterns.
++++++
I finished the hand quilting while on a short holiday to Duluth and the North Shore.
Here we are at Gooseberry Falls State Park:
The weather was fantastic and we hadn't spent time on the shores of Lake Superior for over ten years.

Lovely, the hand-quilting adds a nice finsh to the quilt.
I love how you finished up your "summer stars"; I think it is just what it needed.

Adorable little quilt. I think the big stitch hand quilting really adds a nice finishing touch. So many gorgeous places to visit in the US. I'm never had the chance to explore Minnesota.
Great job, Mary! I hope you are having a lovely time. It looks fantastic!
Your handquilting gave your piece the right final touch. Very nice Mary!

I think it would be a nice little wall hanging, in my sewing space.. something to remind me to smile each day. As a matter of fact it would be right above my sewing machine so that when I got frustrated trying something new.. I would have to Smile!!
