I didn't think I would like embroidering this months Birdie Stitches from Little Miss Shabby and I didn't when I was trying to make a single line for each letter rather than outlining the boldness of each letter.  (I saw someone else doing it this way.)
So, I started over and here she is:

Now I think she's pretty cute!

Just love how you pulled the colors from the fabrics in this stitchery - it really stands out. Very pretty.

Mary, it looks wonderful. I still need to do mine for June. I might take it for my get away next weekend. 4 days should be enough to get caught up.

I like how you did the outline of the letters too. Very nice.

Oh I like how you did that! I love that back stitch (or whatever it is called) but mine always look so bad when I do it. Yours looks wonderful!

You block looks great. I think you did the right thing with the letters. So cute!

I love this block -- love the fabrics you selected to frame this block too! You have a real eye for color and pleasing combos! Once again, the stitches you are using to outline are so delicate! I have not done June yet; I am kind of glad, because I like the way you used the double lines for the letters!

Hey, Mary - I forgot to ask you - are you using floss or something different to stitch with? I'll need to shop for my threads before much longer. :)
