Almost caught up on Geese in the Forrest

I have May finished and all of the freezer paper prepped for June, so I can stay on track with Geese in the Forrest BOM from Twiddletails. This is going to be one cute Christmas quilt.
We have more guests coming tonight (sister and brother-in-law from Texas) so that means closing down all sewing again for the second time in two weeks.
I do have another quilt to show from a last year when I made this memory quilt for a best friend's son. The think ahead Mom has saved t-shirts since grade school, so I had a lot to choose from. (That's my sweety holding the quilt on our deck.)

Any tips or hints on the t-shirt quilt?? I have a BIG bin of t-shirts from my son that he doesn't even know that I have. My plan is to make the quilt for his high school graduation which would be next May. My PLAN is to work on it a bit at a time while he is at classes in the fall and winter.
