Spicy Spiral Finish, Instagram Traveling Quilt Bee & more

I put this Spicy Spiral out of French General fabrics together last fall at our quilt guild workshop and finally found the time to finish it.

I recently joined the Instagram Traveling Quilt Bee and just sent off my starter blocks for their trip around the country to turn into a finished quilt.

I can't wait to see what becomes of my feathers! The pattern for the feather is free on Anna Maria Horner's website.

This week we were able to introduce my Mother to her 39th great-grandchild Brandon.

He slept through the whole visit!

Gorgeous spiral and I just love those feathers. 39 great grandkiddies??? I had to giggle -- do you draw names at Christmas? :o) Wowzer...how special for your mom.

Precious photo of your mom and the baby! So sweet.

The feather blocks are going to be a fascinating start to a traveling quilt project. They will make each person think a bit, won't they?

Seeing your Spicy Spiral reminded me that I have one ready to sew together out of spring colors. Wonder where I put that? Oops!

Lovely spiral quilt. Your feathers are blowing in the wind...off to be ruffled by others? How precious to see your mother meet her 39th great-grandchild. Creative Bliss...
