Boo to You!!

I had this cute fabric last year and didn't get anything made.  I dug it out this week and made a custom table topper for our table.

 I used a extra big charm pack and some fat quarters of Boo to You! by My Mind's Eye for Riley Blake.
I love every one of the prints.

See how I "FREE" motion quilted this print?

My next project is to add a centerpiece.

Not sure what to make for my partner in PTS6

I'm thinking about this:

these Heather Ross FFA2 60 degree triangles...

or...

these Kona Cotton solids  on some Sweetwater print....

...and both would have hand quilting.

I'm giving my partner an opportunity to choose and I hope she likes at least one of the options.

I did it!

Yes, I finished my daughter's authentic Dirndl costume for her trip to
Oktoberfest in Munich Germany!!
 And from the back:
(of course I had to braid her hair for photos!)

Hard to see, but there are medallions where the cord lace through.

Below is a closeup of the pocket.  Amber beaded and embroidered it and it turned out so cute.  It's rather hard to see in the photo, but the white seed beads are the outline of the state of Minnesota, and the silver embroidery says Minneapolis Minnesota USA!

 Here she tried it with knee highs rather than tights.

The pattern is Wiesn Dirndl #6038 by BurdaStyle.

Her and her husband leave Friday for fifteen days including stops in Amsterdam, Prague, Innsbruck and Rome.

Save travels sweetie!

September Two's Company Bee block

Bonnie asked us to add scrappy fabric that reads red to her print center block and ivory solid.  Here is what I came up with:

Hope you like it Bonnie!  You are going to have a great quilt!

October is my month for the Two's Company Quilt Bee, so I had better get busy, plan my block and send my fabric off in the next two weeks!

September Birdie Stitches

This one was so cute, I started it right away:

Thanks again to Corey of Little Miss Shabby for this wonderful year of stitching (and a great quilt at the end of the year)!

+++++++++++
We went swimming in our lake yesterday for what will probably be the last time this year - it was so fun!  It makes me sad though to think I'll have to wait seven more months until we can swim here again.

+++++++
Lots more sewing going on, costume, curtains, wool applique, Single Girl basting, block six of Embroidery 101....but nothing else to show yet.

Doll Quilt and Embroidery 101 Block 5

I made a doll quilt for a great niece who is dealing with some stuff right now:

I had a piece of minky leftover from another project that I thought would work on the back to help keep dolly warm:

+++++

Block five of Embroidery 101 from Clover & Violet is finish:
I'm still behind by one, but may get caught up this weekend while watching some tennis (U.S. Open)!
Enjoy your weekend.
