D.C. & Sewing

I have to start with the best photo; Miss Audrey in the dress I made her for her birthday:

Maybe one more:

+++++
I returned from D.C. on Sunday very tired.  It was HOT but we got around on the Metro

 to see a lot of sights:

Washington Monument

Women's Vietnam Memorial
Vietnam Memorial sculpture

Korean War Memorial wall reflection left and sculpture right

World War II Memorial in front of Washington Monument

 Lincoln Monument

++++++
I finished August Birdie Stitches on my trip:

Here is a poor photo of all eight blocks so far:

+++

I cut out FQS BOM the day I received it and didn't sew it until this week:

These are block twelve so I've completed 24 blocks and need to get this together and quilted in time for Christmas!

I finished the curtains and they turned out great and my sister likes them. Little Audrey may spend her first overnight with Grandma, so no sewing this weekend.

Audrey's dress is adorable on her! She's really grown:) Nice shots of D.C. There's so much to see! I still muck around in my Metro t-shirt purchased in 2000.

She is so adorable and I just love her dress. It is so much fun having them stay overnight my grandson is four and he first stayed with me at 3 months (my daughter is diabetic and and on dialysis and often needs a break). I don't mind because I just love having him,grandchildren are the greatest.

Never been to DC but I do hope to visit someday when Amelia gets older. I haven't even busted out the 12th block. One of these days I'll get around to it. NO WAY is that Miss Audrey! What a big girl!

Audrey is just about the cutest little thing I've ever seen! And that dress you made her! Wow! I love how your Birdie Stitches are turning out. I can't wait to start mine. I have to finish some other things first, or I'll feel overwhelmed. I am something like 8 months behind on the FQS BOM you are also doing. Sigh. Wish I could keep up like you are! LOL!

First of all that Audrey is adorable and the dress is the bomb...I think she knows it too!

Love D.C. one of my favorite places to visit. I lived in Alexandria Va and went to TC Williams High School (remember the movie Remember the Titans..yet that was my High School until 11th grade).

How many strands of floss do you use on your stitchery or are you using pearl cotton? I'm working on some and yours is sooo much better.

What a sweet little girl in such a pretty little dress. Your block looks great. It is so cool seeing them all together. Are you going to add sashing between the blocks?

What a gorgeous dress! And beautiful little Audrey to show it off for you!
Can I ask did you make the pattern yourself? Or can you point me in the direction to find it.
