I just left the Stash page. Great purse. I remember that brand of thread. I think I used it in Home Ec. class which was in the mid 70's. I would love to pay 29 cents again for thread!!
Hi Mary! Just read your post on "Stash Manicure". That is a totally awesome bag you made and I love how you used your fabrics....very clever!
Believe it or not, I have a whole box full of those old wooden spools of thread and they are all full! It was in a box of sewing stuff I inherited from my Great Aunt, including her old White sewing machine. Makes a great display in my sewing room! :o)
I still have a few of those spools on my thread rack. Some are mine from years ago in colors I've never used and some are from my great aunt Marie. :-) I sure wish thread was still 29cents. LOL!
How old is it? Gee, 29 cents, must be very old cause those kind of prices haven't been around for quite some time. Use it with a vintage sewing display of some kind.

G'day Mary. I found your lovely blog via Stash Manicure. Great post over there and many more here, too! I look forward to visiting regularly.

I dodn't know! I have to go see! I would buy just about anything that was 29 cents... there isn't even a cent sign key on my keyboard!
Oh gosh, would I ever! What a great find!
ooh, off to the stash site to see what you said!
I saw your tote Mary, love all the bags you make.
