Sun & Sew

I am continuing to mix my time in the sun with sewing. I finished this t-shirt quilt and sent it on it's way!

I quilted with wavy vertical lines.

I made and sent off this block for the January Mid-Century Modern Bee.

These two Valentine banners were sent to my secret Valentines!

And to cool off, we walked Fort Myers Beach!

Enjoying the sunshine

It has been especially sunny and warm here. I sleep great with the patio door wide open.

Love these glasses we are using here at the rental:

They were made in Italy and are a frosted glass.

I finished this quilt top except for th outer sashing. This photo is cut off - the quilt is 5 columns of 6 rows. It is called Fancy Fox by Elizabeth Hartman. I used six graduated colors of Kona cotton along with Essex yarn dyed linen/cotton in natural. I plan on using flannel for th backing.

Happy New Year!

We're in sunny Florida for the next two months soaking up the warm sunshine.

Here is our view from the lanai. The pool is beyond the pond.

Morning stroll on Fort Myer's beach.

On the road trip down & since we've been here I've been hand quilting "Rummage".

You can call it big stitch quilting or organic quilting - it holds the flimsy, batting & backing together!

I'm also working on another t-shirt quilt.

Did you know my tutorial on Neon Nesting Cubes was #12 of the top 25 posts in 2014 on the @sewmamasew blog? Go check it out!

I expect to pick up my Florida sewing machine tomorrow - so check back to see what else I'm working on!
