EPP hexies all the way home.

This is reallly a new post dated January 31, 2014. I somehow overwrote the last post.

I finished stitching these together and it is ready to be quilted and made into a pillow:

I have this stack prepped for on the way home - they are Honey Honey by Kate Spain.

And then just a few more out of Liberty Lifestyle for fun:

Back to the deep freeze we go!

Now I can show some more gifts!

A few more items that I've made have been given to the recipient, so I can show you.

I hand quilted this diamond chevron quilt and gave it to my daughter at her baby shower on Saturday. Her in-laws brought the basinette that her husband used when he was a baby. The look great together.

This is very hard to photograph, but it was sure fun to make. I cut out two of each of the animals from some of the fabric she is using to decorate the nursery, sewed them together, lightly stuffed them with polyfil and then hung them with ribbons from a 10" embroidery hoop. I filled the hoop until it was covered with lots of matching ribbons and also more ribbons to hang it.

Here she is at her baby shower:

So cute! Only two months to go!

Untitled

Catching up and catching my breath!

Here is one gift I made that I held back from showing since it was for my daughter and she reads my blog.

It was made from the panel from Winter Lane by Birdie & Stitches for Moda. I first quilted the entired front on the white branches and then added the cardinal silhouette. I purchased matching fabric for the back, quilted it and added a hidden zipper.

Yesterday I made two "Baprons" (pattern by Craftiness is not Optional) to have on hand for little visitors to wear. They are made from cotton laminate from the Prince Charming line by Tula Pink. The bias tape was made from a polka dot from the Farm Fresh line and I love how it worked out.

I also finished my block for the January Mid-Century Modern Bee using a block pattern from the book Quilty Fun by Lori Holt that I received for a Christmas gift.

We just finished celebrating Christmas on Saturday when ALL the kids were able to join us at our house. We even got everyone together for a photo!

Now I'm working on some EPP.

Stay warm.
