The Gown in Use!

Yesterday was a perfect day.

My granddaughter Audrey was baptized in the gown I made her!
daughter - daughter-in-law - son & son-in-law

She was perfectly behaved as usual.

Her Daddy wanted her to wear her gown the whole day.
She got pretty tuckered out....

...but was still perfect.

Dear Mary,
Audrey just looks radiant in that beautiful gown. What a wonderful tradition you have begun by making it. Both of our children were christened in the gown that their father and grandfather were christened in.
Blessing to little Audrey and all your family.

My oldest daughter (first grandchild) was baptized just days after my fathers funeral...very sad time...but my mom went to a large department store and bought a beautiful christening dress with a full slip. It became the family christening dress and I have embroidered all the names, birthdays and christening days on the slip in white thread. It is such a great family keepsake...
